The 5 Scientific Laws of Life & Leadership: Behavioral Karma Kindle Edition
As Behavioral Analysts, consultants Brett DiNovi and Paul Gavoni authored this book to help leaders of schools, businesses, governments, families, and everyday life learn/implement leadership principles based on science and proven case studies. Their combined 50+ years of consulting experience have contributed significantly to the pre-eminent success of their company, Brett DiNovi & Associates, as the largest award-winning behavioral consultation group on the East Coast of the U.S. Their over 600 consultants provide Applied Behavior Analysis services to over 300 school districts/agencies across America and in other sizable organizations internationally (they also provide approved Continuing Education Webinars for educators). Their case studies show how behavior karma works as you implement the 5 Scientific Laws of Life and Leadership in everyday scenarios, as well as in crisis situations, even using some vital examples from how their own company has implemented the very same 5 Laws to attain their success and dominance in their market niche. The 5 Laws in this book show you how to create opportunities for yourself and/or your followers to practice critical behaviors correctly, deliver or seek out regular feedback, and get yourself and others in contact with desired outcomes — in other words, how to successfully meet goals and fulfill values, repeatedly and reliably.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2022It’s often hard for me to remain engaged in a book other than fiction. The authors Brett & Paulie include references, facts, and relatable stories along the way to make the material both enjoyable and easy to digest. Pinpointing my behaviors and writing SMART goals coupled with self management has been influential in preparing for my BCBA exam. By utilizing the “hacks” described in this book, I have successfully maintained my study behavior and established healthy habits. I also find that I am more open minded and open to new experiences. Buy the book and check out the Brett Dinovi YouTube channel- I found that the videos were a nice addition and helped me form more connections to establishing desired behaviors and routines.

Images in this review - Reviewed in the United States on August 10, 2020The book is full of great info to use in your everyday life, no matter if you are a leader, an educator, or someone looking to improve. I liked the part on "The Behavioral Bank" on page 142, which talks about each and every interaction you have with someone goes into your "Behavioral Bank". Where these interactions can directly impact your relationship with them. If you have too many negative interactions with them without enough positive interactions you will incur what they say is "overdraft fees". I think this is a great way to look at our everyday interactions and to think about how we want these relationships to be. There may be changes that need to be made in order for our Behavior Bank to function to its fullest!!
This is a must read!

- Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2020As a school administrator, I've been exposed to a number of leadership theories for over a decade. While they all made sense at some level, they never really got to the root of leadership in a way that made sense to me. For me, the information in this book filled in the gap missing across the literature, my formal education at the University, and the professional development I've received since. This book not only has me rethinking my approach to leading and managing within a school, but also leading and managing my own life Anybody will find value in this book. Plus, I really enjoyed the authentic voice of the authors as well as the compelling stories they shared to illustrate key concepts. I'm a believer in Behavioral Karma...or at least the science behind it. Bravo!

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read for anyone who desires to be a leader and all BCBAs, BCaBAs, and RBTs
“There are even calls for the replacement of chief executive officers with chief behavior officers, as the success of any organization is dependent on behavior – the behavior of leaders, the behavior of employees and the behavior of consumers.”-Brett DiNovi & Paul Gavoni No truer words. I found myself rereading that line over and over again, wondering how much stronger companies would be and how low turnover rate would be. How stronger profits would be and camaraderie and collaboration among administration employees. I can’t recommend this book enough. There are so many points is this book that hits home to everyday life for all. Whether you’re a teacher, BCBA, RBT, BCaBA, CEO, CFO, Coach, sales-person, husband, wife, partner, mother, father, and the list goes on. This book will
